Katrina & Stuart had their nuptials at Netherbyres at the end of September, and it was a blast from start to finish. Celebrant Douglas Gillgallon got the day off to a fantastic start with his fun and interactive Humanist ceremony.
It felt like we barely stopped laughing all day, from photographer John Clark entertaining us during dinner with his tales of being on Don’t Tell The Bride, to the moment when Katrina misunderstood the memo and paused to kiss her mum half way down the confetti aisle instead of her new husband!
Music played a big part of their day… guests signed the retro record player ‘guest book’, local pianist David McLeish played Katrina down the ailse, singer and guitarist Frank Porter serenaded guests during the drinks reception.
By night the DJ got the dance floor pumping, helped by a saxophone ‘Power hour’ (which we will never be able to say again without trying to replicate Katrina’s Northern Irish pronunciation). The dancefloor antics were something else, gotta love a bit of wedding dress limbo!
Massive congrats again to The Gilchrists.
